Access Management

Access Management

Access on a Solid server is controlled via webID and read, write, and append permissions afforded to each file and container (resources) per webID, and an additional set of read, write, and append permissions for public access.

  • The read permission controls whether a webID can view a resource.

  • The write permission controls whether a webID can edit, add to, and remove from a resource.

  • The append permission controls whether a webID can append/add to a resource.
